Hey, just wondering if there are any F.O.s around that have been in a Fires Bde before? What was it like, especially compared to an Infantry/Cav/Armor unit
Well havnt been in one but I have friends who are and they say it sucks. They def dont know their job and pick up a lot of bad habits. Not to mention they are the b*tches for the unit. Best thing I know is try to call branch manager and go somewhere else. We always need Fister children down on the line. If you cant go anywhere make the best of it and stay in the redbook (Division FS handbook that pretty much replaces the 6-30). Best of luck
Let's see. I am. Trying to learn my job but end up doing a load of crazy thigns. For instance, got sent to Advanced Urban Warfare school just recently. Was good stuff but it doesn't help me call for fire. Would rather have more time on the Call for Fire Trainer. Reading them damn FM's don't help if I ain't out there learning first hand in the field. If your E7 or higher, different story.
