I will start it out with a very simple one all redlegs should know. The last Artillery pack mule was Hamilton T-bone.

Yes, they are. In fact the Israeli Army did just that.

Here's a two part one for you guys:

"Name the parts and elements of the stardard voice call for fire"

Now how about the five steps to measure the orienting angle.

Ok another basic tid bit. one degree is equal to 17.8 mils, and the Artillery uses the M2 compass.

DAMN! SSG P, you made me dust off my old cobwebs and 6-50! Upper-Lower-Upper... My COS drilled that into my thick skull!!!
1) Position and level the aiming circle over the orienting station
2) Compute the orienting angle by subtracting the azimuth of fire from the azimuth of the orienting line, add 6400 mils, if you're in the negative numbers
3) With the upper motion, set the orienting angle.
4) Using the lower motion, sight on the end of the orientilg line.
5) Using the upper motion, sight on the pantel.

Ok, Here is the answer to name the five steps to measure the orienting angle.

1. set the aiming circle over orienting station.
2. have the gunner of the base piece lay the aiming circle parallel to the base piece.
3. sight on the end of the orienting line with the up motion.
4. read the orienting angle from the aiming circle.
5. the result is the measured orienting angle.

Take a magnetic reading to the pantel
SAM: subtract the azimuth of fire from the magnetic reading. Announce that as deflection.
Gunner sets deflection and traverses to compass. This gun lays the others reciprocally.

While I'm at it, here are some more questions:

What is the definition of a mil?

What does LASBAP stand for?

The definition of a mil= a unit of measurement= to 1/6400 of 360 degrees.

I know it by TLASBAPP =
1. TRAILS
2. LAY
3. AIMING POINTS
4. SITE TO CREST
5. BORESIGHT
6. AZIMUTH
7. PREFIRE CHECKS
