Before anything else, yes I have spent plenty of time on the WTC forum and have not found an answer. Has anyone here gone from WTC to 13b AIT? A discussion on the WTC forum is about what week WTC graduates are inserted in to OSUT for their AIT. The only example I have seen is for 11x. Anyone dealt with this yet?

I looked and the contract i signed and the start days for my training. I did the math and i grduated on a wens. and then i start training on the following mon for 13F. The master sargent down at meps said that they will put me in during blue phase and that i would propably be treated like the other IET soldiers. But that is up to the DS. I guess we will see once I get to that point though. There is a lot of info on the discussion part of AKO i found. Your recruiter should have set you up with a account. I found better info on my MOS and WTC on there. Not that there was not good info on here because there was. I just found that there was better info on there because there were soldiers that just got done with training that were posting thing on there. so maybe your answer can be answered on that site.

Wait, 45067, are you talking about being inserted into a BCT class? As far as I know that's just not done. Also, if you want to know anything about being a Fox and the school, feel free to ask here, this is the best place Big Grin

No I am going to WTC and then onto AIT from there for 13f. I leave a weak from today. I got a lot of help on here you even helped me on the other blog. I was just saying when looking for more info on the training i went onto AKO and found even more and in depth look at what I should be expecting. not that this site did not have good info because it did it was great. But I found on AKO that i found more recent soldiers who just went throught it. I do have one ? for you. When you get to your command what are you chances as a 13F is it that you will be sent to a infantry platoon? sorry i dont know what you call it i am coming from the navy side of things.

I don't think I can accurately answer your questions in these regards. I'm a MOGuard FISTer with an Arty unit so you might be better off starting a new thread or doing a bit for digging. I can give you some general advice about Fort Sill and 13F AIT though Big Grin

1) I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!! DO NOT GO TO CRYSTAL FALLS!
2) The ceiling tiles are a great place to hide things if you live in the starship
3)Don't get in the yellow taxis
4)Never, ever, ever, never go anywhere alone. During my tenure there we had quite a few guys get beat down by the bang bangs. They had a chip on their shoulders regarding the FIST classes.
4) Avoid the smoke shack when you get there, that's where the instructors go to dig up troops for details, particularly the $hitty ones.

Thanks for the info. What is crystal falls? Thats not cool that they would beat up the fisters they must have been jealous of what fisters do then. I will be prior service coming in do you know anything about the prior service guys in AIT vs the new IET soldiers?

Crystal falls is a.... "gentlemans"....club. But, yeah, just about all the other 13 series MOS at AIT seemed like they where rather jealous of what we do. I'm not just saying that to make us seem like bada$$es, because we are Wink Beer, but they honestly seemed to envy us a bit. As for the NIET vs. IET it all depends on your instructors. My class didn't have any NIETs in it but the one ahead of us had a Ranger reclassing from 11B to 13F. He got off at the end of the day (1700ish), weekend passes every time regardless of the class and batteries performance that week, he also got to keep all his personal items. Other NIETs I saw at the hold over battery had their laptops, phones, and various other electronics and personal items regardless of the IETs performance.
