I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed on here yet, have you all already heard about ALARACT 104/2008. What does this mean for the future of field artillery officers and soldiers?

ALARACT 104/08 SPRING/SUMMER SAFETY MESSAGE, DTG 101534Z APR 08. A spring/summer safety message from the Army leadership.

To which message do you refer? I'm assuming you don't mean this one....

Check your source.
Message #104 for 2008 is the safety message referenced in my post above (from the S1 Net ALARACT listing)
The date on the message you reference is 01April08, as ALARACTs are sequential, this would put it between messages 095/2008 and 096/2008 - not 104. Message 095 is about "FY 2008 ANNUAL ARMY-WIDE PERSONNEL ASSET INVENTORY (PAI), DTG 010240Z APR 08" and 096 is "ACTIVE COMPONENT (AC) INSTALLATION PERMANENT PARTY RECEPTION, DTG 011743Z APR 08"
097 is dated 02 April.
Someone might be pulling your leg.

Hint: what is the day before 02April?

I got this one in an email that went through the ohio national guard. I hadn't been able to find it anywhere online and so I've been thinking that it might be BS. Thank you for confirming it. The message looks legit, except for the message number.

for the future is there a single source where you can access all ALARACT messages. I look for ever from HRC to AKO and even DOD. Thanks.

BCKS (Battle Command Knowledge System) Forums

go to:
https://forums.bcks.army.mil/
(AKO or CAC login required)

As you can see there is a variety of different subject forums available. Look at 'S1 Net Home Page'
-You may have to register with the forum moderator to use them, I can't remember, either way its not a big deal-
Within that homepage there is a list of sub-topics in a menu on the left. The one labeled 'ALARACTs & Message Summaries' has a list by year and message # and links to the messages.
