I an extremely interested in Navy EOD and the EOD community.
My only concern is the physical aspect of the training. I've heard that it's comparable to BUD/S or USAF PJ training. I'm not the most athletic person either. 17yrs old. 6'2" 210lbs. All help is appreciated. |

Well I was never EOD but here is the SUGGESTED STUDENT PREPARATION from the EOD website to get you started. However, never start such a routine without first consulting your doctor, letting him know what you are about to undertake. BoatsBM1 |

Hm...that seems like a lot.
Good thing I have a few years to work on it. Also I might go to college before enlisting. Any specific major I should study for EOD? |

That's just the prep. What would you do with/about the REAL thing? |

Ok, if you look down on this section of the forums, you will find two posts by me that somewhat relate to this question. Check them out and look through this forum, there are quite a few posts that deal with EOD training.

I had some buddies that went through EOD prep. 30 started 5 finished the 5 are all in Panama City now. Well I think its all 10% physical and 90% HEART. I had a good friend in Basic that was sick the entire time and was transferred out and back in our Division he could barely pass his run on the pst. Well I found out he never gave up and hes 1 of the 5 in FL now.
