What is the likely hood of being accepted to HALO school from EOD training? I have searched a lot on this and from what I have read it seems like its very hard to get accepted to this school, and a lot of people wait years to go. Is this true for EOD as well? If so, how long is the average wait for EOD to go to this training? Thanks in advance
Freefall school...it just depends. There's no average wait as far as i know. Depends on budgets and all of that. I could've gone had I not busted my back at Benning. But, some of the guys went. It seems like a lot of guys go when they get back from deployment.
It is not that it is hard to go, it is the tight training schedules before deployment that make it difficult to find the time to send people. Freefall is low on the EOD training priority list. When I went in 2003, I had to go during our post deployment leave period to attend.
