My husbands a GM3 w/ 5 years intelligence experience from the Marine Corps. He put in a package to switch and everyone approved it except his detailer who said they were short GM2's (which my husband is not anyway, but is filling a GM2 spot) and that it was approved pending completion of his tour here. He will have 5 years in the Coast Guard this September and also hit his 10 year service mark, and he doesn't want to wait another 16 months b/c it will basically be like starting over AGAIN. He's on the list for GM2 but they're taking there time promoting. I'm just curious if there's anyone else in a similar situation? and if there would be ANYTHING he could do to push it through faster?
