I'm a prior service Coastie in the Tampa area wondering if there are any IS billets nearby. The recruiter is under the impression there are only five places to be stationed as an IS (none close) but she is not entirely sure of this.

As I understand it, the reserve has a few openings, but I'd like to know if they are close.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Each of the CG Integrated Support Commands (ISCs) have a list of which IS reserve billets are filled and which ones are still open.

Send me an e-mail and I'll put you in touch with the right POC.

Active or Reserve? Makes a difference... I just checked into Sector St. Pete. PM me for further info on what my CDR threw my way so far as options as a reservist (not like I have many as an ensign, but you know what I mean.)

You'd be wise to contact your recruiter (only two female recruiters that I know of at St. Pete, and they're both kick-*** awesome!), and they can research available billets further if you are truly interested.
