I was talking to our sector's MC about the IS rate and possible underway oppertunities, he said pretty much only with navy ships. I joined the Coast Guard to travel and i was thinking about instead of going IS i would go OS because of the U/W choices.

any advice would be awesome!

Navy has their own Intel guys, why would they need us? Especially when theirs only a couple hundred of us and the Navy has so many people they were loaning guys to us?

I'm going to say that there is no way we would go Navy unless it's in a battle group that the NSC is floating with.

Your Sector CMC is wrong on two counts. Our WMSL will have IS billets and there are many reasons why we would send our folks on grey boats.

We do have IS's deploying on grey hull's as we speak, so nothing is impossible.

Y do we have folks on the greys?

The answer to that is not appropriate for this forum.
