Does anyone know at what point the shopping list is considered to be published today? I just checked again from home and it is still the same as it has been all week only 10 jobs available. Is this one of those things where right before the detailer leaves work today, he hits the big red button to publish the latest list and we will be able to actually see it tonight. Any thoughts.

Nope, the message has been released. It is final and you are correct, only 10 positions for E6 and 18 for E5.

Well, it should be interesting if my calculation of 25 IS1 selectees are due to rotate in 08 on how billet selection will be chosen.

Yeah, I checked this morning as well. Ten billets. I was talking to another IS1 and we both agreed that a possible bright side is that with only ten billets to sort out, it may not take long at all to find out what we're slated for...

If your math is right, then perhaps fifteen of those IS1's won't be "IS1s" for long...

I am currently in the Hawaii billet and looking at the choices plan on putting my current job as my number 1. It would work out great for my wife and I to stay and finish out our degrees, but the detailer may say otherwise. I can definately say I would rather not go to jamaica, but the sad reality is one of us will be chosen for that and I don't even have the foggiest of ideas what the heck that position is all about. Anyone know.

I actually do, and it would be a great job. My wife would kill me if I put in for it though, plus I am done with islands for awhile!!!

If you know anyone interested in the job, I can definately get them in contact with the right person for insight.

Not that I actually want it at the moment it would be good to know what it entails just in case. Can you shoot me an email with any information you can, I am in global.

I'm praying to be on the ISC list, but I put in for the IS1 billet at FIST Honolulu. I think it stinks that there weren't more west coast billets, that's where I want to go next.

Now that the billets appear to be final, how many of you plan on putting in for Hawaii and/or Jamaica towards the top of your dreamsheet?

I'm currently in the Hawaii job, and it will be at the top of my list again. I know its not much for career growth, but it's great for going to college which I just started a few quarters ago so I want to finish that here. However the detailer will probably send me somewhere else so that I can get well rounded so I justed have to seriously look at the very few jobs and pick some.

I had extended for 1yr and was sent to sector ny from Ft Meade. I put Fist NY as my #1 since it's the next office over. I would reenlist if I got FIST NY though. But since I'm not tour complete I'll have to sit in this OS billet until tour complete(if I reenlist). Some motivation to reenlist huh?
