Inquiring minds would like to know when advancements for E-6 and below will take effect for the IS rate. We’ve all seen ISC and above for the past two months. In previous messages it was stated that those persons above the cut in their legacy rate would be above the cut as an IS. Does anyone have thoughts or theories since the cut is zero?

I'd say the best thing to do is study for
the May 08 SWE. Since the rate just stood up Jan 1st, there was already an amount of IS1's and IS2's in place from the lateral. There has to be movement at the top (i.e. openings). ISCM Rochefort will be able to give a waaaaay better answer than me. |

Beege,
You summed it up pretty well On 01 Jan, we promoted up to fill vacancies at the ISCS and ISC level. We've known we were going to short 14 positions at the ISCS and ISC level since way back in Aug when the IS Board met. That is why we chose 14 extra IS1's than we had billets for during the lateral process. As of 01 Jan (taking into account the senior IS advancements) puts our IS rating at capacity, with the exception of IS3 which will be filled by IS A-school. Now that our rating has stood up, advancements should occur as normal. Hope that helps clarify things. ISCM Rochefort |
