First off, thanks MC for 3800.4. It has helped thus far. I would like to take this time to perhaps get some helpful info started for all those that are working on your IS pracs. I am trying to knock some out, but have hit some walls and I thought if people knew the answer or could share or shed some light on them...it might make completing these a little easier.
For example, prac 7.B.02 "Draft a request to Assistant Commandant for pre-approval"... It took some looking and I found both of the COMDTINST's mentioned on the SIPRNET and looked at both manuals, HOWEVER, it really didn't state what the request looked like, nor how to draft it. I would assume in a CG Memo format? 3820.12 did a good job of breaking the topics down, but I found myself asking, "Okay, got most of the info here, but how do I write the darn thing." Any suggestions or know where I can find an example?
And for future reference and help, I think if anyone is stumped we might be able to use this outlet for now (bear in mind the classification of things) to help each other out until a more sanitized board is created in order to share our knowledge. Makes sense to me anyways. Good luck to all.
