To those who have had boots on the ground, and especially boots outside the wire, here is a list of random thoughts I have had while passing the time between FOB's.

1. I wonder if Hadji has ever dialed the wrong number while attempting to remotely detonate an IED.
2. At the same time how often has the network dropped thier call.
3. I wonder if there is some kind of friends and foes plan available throughout the middle east. With free detonantions on Sundays.

Just some stupid things that have gone through my head while running the roads.

Pressing "0" to get the operator.

"Hello, I would like to place a direct call to a bomb."

This isn't a thought but more of an observation I made while just south of mosul on Tampa.

"Hey, why are there wires sticking out of that sheeps ***?"

Another observation, did you ever notice all the dogs in Iraq looked the same. I once made the Tikrit to Balad run and swore we passed the same dog four times. I had to laugh. I thought damn that thing is fast.

Haha, I remember during a bombing on Camp Taji, hadji misjudged the wind for their mortars and killed themselves. Famous last words "Oops,".

Another stupid thought,
Do the Hadji's have a class of people they consider redneck?
I am curious about this one. Is there some Bubba Hadji's?

Haha, no clue. They call the Sunni, "sons of dogs" in Mosul, so I guess its close enough to redneck.

You know that is a hell of a question. I have seen literally layers of sheep stacked in the back of one of those little Nissan trucks. How do they do that crap?
So the Sunni's are "Sons of Dogs"? I never heard that.
You might be a son of a dog if:
1. You have ever stuck some sort of explosive up some form of livestocks a$$.
2. Your mom ever caught you masterbating to videos of Osama Bin Laden.
3. Your truck has more bullet holes than windows.
4. Your wife feels a long black dress is appropriate for all occasions.

I am sure there are more its just too early for me to think of any.

A few more:
You might be a "Son of a dog" if:

1. You have more "rolexes" wrapped up in a plastic bag in your pocket than Kay jewelers does in a display case.
2. You address every American as "My Friend".
3. You wonder why all flavors of Amercian gatorade taste like piss.(you guys on convoys will understand this one)
4. You had more AK 47's and RPGs at your sisters wedding than the IP have at the checkpoint up the road.
5. Traffic stops for IEDs are reasons to party on the highway.
6. Your truck can't go over forty mph until the guy behind you gets hit, then it can do 60mph plus. With a flat tire.
7. You don't eat pork, unless it comes from the American Chowhall.
8. You can strip a burning vehicle before the ammo inside cooks off.
9. You can piss and fire an 82mm mortar from the back of a moving pickup truck.
10. You can spot a moving convoy from 2000 meters away and time a detonation perfectly, but can't see the the big sign on the back of a moving 5 ton that says stay back 500 meters.

I'm sure there will be more to come here.
