This is one veteran who will be working as hard as I can for Obama this Fall. I'm sick and tired of 19 year old boys coming home in body bags. There is a reason wars are fought by the young, because the old ask to many questions.

Well we didn't ask enough questions before this one and our kids are paying the price for it. We raise them with a flag wrapped around their faces and we treach them to obey authority, then they either find themselves dead or maimed while old men in suits eat steak at the White House and debate whether to sacrifice their golf playing until after they leave office.

I love my country and would serve it again if necessary but I will NEVER forgive my country for allowing the war in Iraq to continue without any accountablity for those who ordered it.

Its time let the Iraqis settle their own f*cking problems and bring our troops home now.

My Honorable Discharge did not abolish my oath to "protect and defend the constitution of the United States" and I remain committed to the well-being of America and it's citizens.

I agree with you, it's been 5 years too long, we've lost over 4,000 men and women, it's time to wrap it up and call it a day. Can anyone tell me what exactly the mission is in Iraq currently?

We have spent nearly a trillion dollars in the Middle-East, while Americans are suffering from poverty and enter foreclosure. Jobs are being lost, companies are in the red. Why?!

America is no safer now than it was in 2001... well, it is, but because of our own awareness, not because we are eliminating terrorists in Iraq. If you remember, al-Qaeda was not in Iraq until US forces were in Iraq.

I hope people use their heads in November. Think of the long term effects that the war in Iraq is having. What happens if tomorrow we are attacked by China, or North Korea. Do you honestly think that our military, in it's current state of being, can sustain wars on both sides of the planet AND keep up Homeland Security? Of course not...

If a situation like this occurs, say goodbye to your sons and daughters and hello to a draft.

Considering the only people calling for a return of the "Draft" are Democrats, I just love your fearmongering. please do continue showing your ignorance.

Charles Rangel (D-NY) introduced the draft bills, not a Republican. I wouldnt want a draftee guarding my *** while in Adamiyah, or Taji, etc.

You don't think it's been necessary since 9/11?

So our current troops aren't smart enough to have known they signed up during a time of war? They are not smart enough to form their own opinions? Ones that might *gasp* be the opposite of yours?
