When we finally got porta johns at our compound it
was in the middle of july 2003. I remember an announcement came over the asip radio stating it was 57 celsius which is over 130 degrees. The porta john's were strategically placed in direct sunlight. It was a good idea to bring a bottle of water or your camelback along with your wetwipes, man it was hot there.

Steaming hot sh*t. Interesting topic. Though relieving some stress with an interesting picture of one's girlfriend is decidedly more of a challenge in said blistering porto johns.

I tried to time my craps first thing in the morning, because then you only sweat 2-3 pounds, instead of 5-7. Razz

Yup. Got down to 18F here at Delta. I swore it was gonna snow at any moment. Just rained like a beetch, then iced up overnight.

Wonder if AlGore will bring his global warming circus here any time soon?

We had a heat index at Tallil AFB in Iraq of 168 degrees in August 2003. Air temperature was 128 degrees F.

We used to heat ramen noodles up by setting them in the sun on a dark spot on our truck. We wanted to try frying an egg on the dash, but we couldn't get any fresh eggs. Every time we tried to barter for some with the Iraqis, we ended up getting the whole chicken!

If you think it was hot taking a dump in the porta-john -- try standing out in the sun with a can of JP8 burning a barrel of ****!
