Hi,
just bored and venting a little frustration. I have been waiting almost a month for my "minor" BUMED Waiver to come back approved so that I can get back into the Reserves and continue my service. I am starting to remember one of my biggest frustrations with the Navy...slow paperwork. Wink

Anyone else in the same situation?

I would have said "boat" but I've never served on a Sub. Wink

Update:
Continued Venting...

Talked to my Recruiter; Liaison Chief scanned all of my paperwork into the computer in a viable file format, emailed it all up to BUMED on my last visit to MEPS over a month ago. 3 weeks later, Recruiter comes back from vacation to hear from the Chief that BUMED couldn't open the files or read them or something, so the Chief had to FedEx hardcopy to them over 10 days ago....still no word...guess I didn't get my place in line back and got buried back in the pile of 700+ waiver packets...frustrating!

1. I wonder why BUMED doesn't have sufficient IT support (pet peeve, I'm an IT guy)

2. As Whiny as it sounds, shouldn't I get my place in line back? Even the RMV/DMV is courteous enough to do that!

hehehehe....still in good spirits though; this will help prepare me for my transition back into the way The Navy does paperwork! Wink

Here's hoping it comes back with a big green checkmark soon and I can start drilling in Oct.

-End Rant

WOoooHoooo!!! After a bit of back and forth with BUMED and 6.5 weeks later, I am finally medically cleared to reaffiliate with the USNR! I'm so stoked! Now just a couple of weeks for my DPEP kit to go up and hopefully get my E6 approved. At this rate I should be drilling in Oct!!
