hey guys. me again. I am getting ready to leave HM A school and head back to my reserve center for the first time. I was just wondering how do you usually go about volunteering yourself for active duty assignments/ mobilizations(not sure what they are called). When i get back i really want to see whats available and try and do some active duty time. I heard through the grape vine there is some sort of web site that you can log into to see open billets?? Is this true and if so can someone point me in the direction of it? thanks Also anyone ever here of HM reservist getting C schools other than FMTB?
Check in with your command. Let them know you are wanting to get mobilized (you most likely will have to fill out a ch1t changing your status to 'volunteer'. Then check the NOSC, there should be an IA/Mobilization representitive there that has insight on where they are looking for people. Also, if you are still at corpman school at Great Lakes try stopping into their NOSC just to ask questions. It's right around the corner from your school.
