ok stupid question - how do i access my navy email from home? I have installed the CAC reader software but i cannot find the website to get to my email. Anybody know the steps?

I am assuming you are a SELRES. If so log into the following site

https://www.navyreserve.navy.mil/Pages/default.aspx
once you have there is a link on the left hand side for your email (.mil account). From there you will need to chose the appropriate side of the US for your certificates, etc. Hope this helps---good luck. HMC

Before you do anything, you'll need a working CAC reader on your home computer.

Call 1-866-THE-NMCI. Despite all the faults with their system, they do have good customer service. They should be able to help walk you through getting to the site to access your official e-mail.

Just be patient, especially if you call during normal working hours.

Works for me... most of the time. You will deffintely need a card reader. Us eyour non-email certificate for the first page, and your email certificate for the second page.
