Anyone have any specific information on the Navy Reserve Advanced Paygrade Program. Like the Publication number that governs it.

From what I have been told the APG program has been replaced by DPEP. Look at YN2's QA pages and she has the specific qualifications for DPEP. Basically, you have to have so many years experience and so many years superviory experience to receive a higher rate. I was discharged from actived duty as an E-4 and went back in the Reserves last year as an E-5 under the DPEP program. I was told that DPEP was very hard to get, so if you have the qualifications make sure your recruiter submits the paperwork. I was persistent knowing I had the qualifications and it payed off.

Thanks, I was doing IT work on AD and got out as a E5 promotable.

I now have a computer Science degree and work as a Software Engineer.

I was hoping to get something more than E3 in the IT rate.
