3 months seems a little long. I was gained and had an ID card before I made it to my first drill.
Just as a heads up it takes 2-3 weeks to get a quota from the training center.

Good luck to you. Maybe I will see you in class.

It must be the location. Where are you stationed?

I still see no progress. I am really dissappointed in the Navy process. In 17 years of military service, I have never seen such poor performance. It seems to be limited to DCOs also. Other DCOs that came in with me are finally in the system as of last month, but I noticed the enlisted sailors are processed right away.

I am in the upstate NY area. So far no major issues. I do have some nit pick stuff. Our FTS folks are hit or miss. Just like anywhere else - some are great and some do the bare minimum to get by.
I have come to the realization that I have to do everything possible myself. I have accepted that and do what I can and ask for help when I can't figure something out. My career is in my hands.

Where are you?

I am in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro in Texas. We have a pretty busy NAS Joint Reserve Base. I think part of it is my recruiting center has screwed up several times on submitting my paperwork. You would think they have a good process down by now, but I get the feeling they are under-staffed and need a second office. I got a response from my NOSC that reports the NPC is "backlogged". Yet, somehow I was able to call NPC myself and within 5 minutes discovered they were missing my COMDOC, so I faxed it over. That was last week and I was commissioned the last week of April.

I experienced the same thing (doing things yourself for your career) on my path to Senior NCO in the Air Force Reserves. So, that is no surprise to me. It was easier when I was active duty.

It looks like I made it through the "bottleneck" finally! As of today, I am in DEERS. I will finally get a Navy CAC and will soon get paid for my last three DWEs. I will try fro the INDOC in November, but I am doubting there will be a slot open by the time I am gained.

BrianNY,

It looks like the 29 November class is definitely closed now. Now, the earliest available class is in January.

I hope you do well in DCOIC.

Looks like I will be in the JAN class.
I had some scheduling issues with the other dates.
Let me know if you get into the JAN class.
