Just wanted to start a discussion for us reservist either going to the AOR for the first timers or repeat offenders like myself this fall. Remember OPSEC folks, no specific dates or locations, let's keep things general. I was originally the LPO for the Tactical Ops Center (TOC) for Romeo Battalion, Bravo Company. I hope to hear from you all soon.

Alpha Company TOC was so much better than the Bravo's TOC.

Well sure when you guys were out at the pool sipping your non-alcoholic pina coladas while my group was continously putting out fires and dealing with pi$$ed off soldiers/marines and pi$$ey airmen al the time,

So, I officially go tmy orders last week. Anyone else out there heading out with the next Customs.Cargo Handling unit? I know a few of my shippy's from the Romeo unit are also going back, but I wanted to start networking with others, so that we all have our ducks in a row when we get there.

Good luck Russ! I know several people from ROMEO heading out that way. Enjoy the time and I'm sure you'll enjoy your bank account once you're finished!
Keep your head down shipmate, return safely. R, Rudy |

SHould be fairly easy, the only real tricky part will be getting "The Boys" and my car down there from here.

HI Wildsam! Does this mean you're coming along with us on this mission? I notice on your member page it says you're Army National Guard, so does this mean you've switched to the dark side? the more the merrier.

Follow the link to a blog set up by an IT2 on the subject of NAVELSG FWD INDIA
http://fwdindia.blogspot.com/ He's got some good info for those people who've never been FWD deployed to the sandbox. |

Francis,
I'm glad to see you and a few other repeat offenders are coming back! It's drama time here at LSA. Rae made PSC! I hope I make my next rank also! Things are going fine here, not as bad as it was when Romeo was here. We will see you folks soon. I hope you guys are ready, I don't know how long your deployment will be. Email me offline and we can chat. Tell Cheryl I said hello and see you guys soon! |

WTF? Justify! Alpha TOC has a lot of people in it, Bravo TOC has one person. A-Toc wants to know everytime we here at Bravo scratch our ass! Call via cell phone every movement. OPSEC my ass Bulls**t. I drive the roads daily and I must call in each time I get to a certain point! WTF? I might as well call the news and say, Hello, I am leaving the gate now, and I am going to so and so! Don't talk sh** about another camp when you don't know what we do here. You think you got it bad? A/C rooms, days off, well how about coming out of your cool office and washing a vehicle at the wash rack in the middle of summer oasis? Until then shut TFU and enjoy your cushy job! Any Questions, contact me offline! |

Don't worry Boats, it's almost over. And I remember a time when I was in Bravo TOC where not only did the Echo Drivers (and anyone else drinving off base for that matter) had to call us about movements, but then we had to call HQ TOC about the same movements, we stopped doing that after about a week 'cause it was stupid, and HQ TOC was just getting overwhelmed from all the phone calls from Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Companies.

I'll keep my mouth shut cause I think that person who made that comment does not leave his/her office to even seee daylight.
I can get worse. When you see how the other folks have it bad, and they get crapped on, then until then, keep a lid on your trap. |

LostHiker,
Not trying to stoke the fire. All my original post was meant to do was to be a friendly jab at the Bravo TOC. I appoligize if this somehow offended you. Also, it seems as if you've confused the Alpha TOC with HQ TOC in needing to call them all the time. Anyway, have a safe trip home and thank you for your continued service. |

bduncs,
Thanks for your service also. It's nice to know that every deployment will eventually come to an end. Today I pushed out a Seabee unit and this will be the first time that I have seen the most dis-organized chain of command. You know when you think you have it bad? Someone else have it worst. Looking forward to being home for the snow season. Thanks again. - Boats |

I have had nothing but trouble when it comes to going on a deployment and I have attempted to go on two so far. With deployment #1 with the Army Guard I was sent home after spraining my leg and with my most recent deployment which was with NAVELSG India I was again sent home. This time because a deranged Navy dentist damaged my tooth at the dental clinic in Norfolk. The damage was all the way down to the root and I spent all that time I was in Williamsburg in such terrible pain that I could not concentrate on my training. Stupid corpsman, HM2 Blair thought I was depressed rather than in pain. He then had a suicide watch put on me. Well, I finally got home and shared with my reserve unit everything that occurred to me with NAVELSG India. They will not send anymore people to that unit and my chief has replaced the Osama Bin Laden photo on the dart board with that of the NAVELSG Octopus. I am no longer ever going to volunteer for any deployment ever again thanks to what happened in NAVELSG. Sincerely, the Two Time Loser.

Profile says Army - what gives? Did you just change branches or? Seriously doubt your reserve unit has much to say regarding supplying folks for a customs mission. Like the rest of us, if the order comes down all discussion shuts off, you get in line, and carry out the orders. |
