Hello to all my brothers in the corp the reason why i am posting this is to see my options about getting back into the service. I will always be a marine but the civilian life sucks i want to go back into it but all of the recruiters i have talked to never got back to me because of the true story i am about to say. I went into the marine corp in March 17,2004 and graduated boot at parris island in June i was an 03 field and my first week into training i was pushed by a Sgt Fredrick in infantry Alpha Company Camp Geiger He pushed me because i did not have my canteens tied to my duece gear. When he pushed me i fell on my pack which was behind me onto the ground hurting my back for the time being so i went into BAS and they took xray of my back and recommended me to the MRP platoon on base. I stay there for 6 months in this platoon that had marines really hurt the whole entire time i was trying to go back into training but the people at BAS would put me on more lite duty making it impossible for me to go back into training. During the time in MRP i worked with SSgt and basically did paperwork for him. During the 6 months me there i got tired of being there so i went to the BAS and started trying to get the ball going after a week of constaintly asking them if i am going home or are they changing my MOS because i was started to nuts. The Lt Commander of the Bas told me that she was about the charge me with milingering i got scared and at the night time i left i had an apartment in Jacksonville NC so i stayed there for 42 days it was Christmas holidays i came back and they punished me by giving me a General Under Other than Honorable conditions also giving me a RE code 4 also on the spd code is HDK. I was wondering i wanted to go back in into any branch of the military ( especially marine corp) I stayed in the marine corp for 11 and a half months recieved while i was in rank of PFC also when i was discharged i was offered a good conduct medal. It has been since Feburary of 2005 that i got out. I could understand my punishment for what i did because that was wrong but what i do not understand is that i was not giving the opportunity because i was pushed down by some crazy gun ho marine. If there is anyone out there that understands and is willing to help another marine get back in. I would very much apperiate it. I am going to leave my email address also my home phone number 518-813-4335. I am writing this not to ramble on and on. Just to get back in to the thing i love and that is being a marine. yea, stell a recruiter, 2 recruiters, 3 recruiters 100 recruiters, someone will under stabd that being a recruiter means making more marines no matter the cost, however your in a sticky situation, why did you leave? you knoew that was retarded, what is worse? what you did or getting charged with milingering? yo, everyone at BAS is retarded, they are all wannabe marines, if you really want to get back in, you will, you've got to talk to the right people.

also, just as an FYI, it takes 3 years to earn a Good Conduct Medal. they are not offered. they are earned. you would not have been "offered" one either, because you have to go 3 years without doing something stupid.
