I am 17 years old, turning 18 in November. I got into a little trouble a couple of years ago with the police, but the real problem is that I have more than one offense. I have never been charged for a felony, but I have been tried for one but I only have misdemeanors. Well anyways, there is nothing more that I want, that I have ever wanted, but to be a United States Marine. I was talking to a recruiter and he said there is nothing they could do for me, I am devastated but I am determined to get in. I will do anything to become a Marine, If it means going to Iraq, If it means having a longer enlistment, if it means anything, Ill do it. As long as its honest. Basically, Is there any thing I can do to improve my chances. Maybe waiting or going to college a little bit and trying to enlist. Maybe join another branch and then transfer? I need some help as to what I can do if anything. I want to serve my Country I want to be apart of the best, but now I can't because I screwed up when I was a kid, (a younger one). I can tell you how you can go into service enven thouh I am not a recruiter or Marine and I know family members who are former Marines. and you need to clean yourself by going legit and study and do you best to get legal issuse or any court issue and bring back saying you change and wil not do it again. and make sur eyou pass the ASVAB b/c that is a biggie for the military.
