i want to be a marine more then anything i have ever wanted to do, there is only one problem i have had two misdemeanors in my past
1)evading arrest age 12 did probation, not on my record 2) possesion of marijuana age 14 did probation not on my record although they are not on my record, i hear that the military does have access to the records another thing, recently i was pulled over and there was marijuana in my car, not mine but i was charged and i go to court tomorrow, i have a lawyer and there is a good chance it is getting dissmised, although like the others i dont know if the military will have access to this. i am 18 years old, i have clean urine, i have a high school diploma and im trying to get off to a good start in life although i was not such a bright little youngster. what are my chances of getting in, will someone please give me some more info relating to my concerns. it would be greatly appreciated. |

Short answer is yes the marine corps will find out about it. There is no reason not to disclose those offenses to a recruiter. We run waivers for possesion of MJ so you should be fine. Even if the second one doesn't get dropped you should could get a waiver. But if you want to be a marine then from now on distance your self from anything or anyone involved with drugs.
