Hello. My name is Warrick Green and I served in the Marine Corp Reserve from 1997 until 1999. During this time, I was living with my now deceased grandmother and was providing about 90% of the income in the home. She was in the late stages of Lupus and it was beginning to take hold of her. I was the only family member helping her. As a result, I frequently missed drill. I provided the necessary documentation and was discharged with what I thought was a Humanitarian discharge. I recently contacted the Marine Corp Officer Selection Officer here requesting info about thhe program since I'm almost out of school. They requested a copy of my DD-214 which I had to obtain. Once I got it, it said I had an Honorable discharge but no reenlistment code was on it. I had to call Quantico, VA for another copy. When I got it back, it said Honorable with a separation code MBK2. BUT, there was also a CD with it. The CD said I was discharged OTH with RE-4 being the reenlistment code. That means not eligible. Also, the records say I never provided documentation of anything and that the discharge package was mailed to me. I had never seen a dicharge package until I got the CD. To make a long story short, is the any way I can dispute this? Please help.
