About a year and a half ago I was diagnosed as having ADD not ADHD. I'm currently 16 turning 17 in 3 months and I have some questions about joing and becoming a rifleman. I do take medication for ADD for school due to my fruequent procrastination. I belive that I don't really have ADD it's just that I wait until the last minute for things. Now what I was hoping someone could answer is that I've heard that you need to be off your medication for at least a year and show no signifigant drop in performance before you can join the Marine Corps. Now I'm not a stupid kid I am taking SATs this spring and have done above average on the practice ones. I have also done very well on the practice ASVABs. Help me please help me can I join if I get off my medication!

If you are off medications you can join.
I forget the exact time fram, but it is waiverable.
Go to the recruting office and talk to them about it for the specifics.
Thee are reference sheets that will have to be filled out for performance evaluations
