I have looked all over this site, but I would just like to get information for my specific situation. I'm a former Marine who is a Seargent with a RE-1A. I got out on April 26th, 2004 after serving eight years, but after my first 4 I got out for 10 months, than came back in, than served another 4 years. I have three tattoos which I had while I was in but I now see their cracking down on them. They are all three on my left bicep/tricep and would be covered with a PT shirt sleeve. I am married with one child. I am mostly interested in going back active and changing my MOS which is 6074, it promotes very slow and was the major reason I got out. I was told then that I could not lat move so I'm hoping now I can. If anyone can offer any information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You really need to get with a recruiter near you ASAP. I work in the MEPS and I have seen a vast number of veteran Marines come back in and change the MOS/LAT move. I really don't think the tattoos will be any problem if they are not offensive or anything. You need to get with the local recruiter and so they can schedule a time to go to MEPS and take the physical.
