Why do we want more aircraft carriers when they are obsolete because china won't even let them come close to their shores as a part of there anti-access plan to defend theirselves. Why don't we build a SUPER SHIP capable of everythiong using a Battleship Hull?

First, if the U.S. went to war with China do you really think that a carrier strike group couldn't get close enough to China to do it's job? Carriers don't go out alone, and I doubt China could do much to stop a carrier strike group.

As for your SuperShip idea, now you only have to sink one ship instead or 20 or more.
