I am a SN in the USN and was asked the following question. What United States Naval vessel, when it holds colors, lowers the ensign to raise it? I have been exhausting my resources trying to figure it out yet have still come up empty handed. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I know it's a bit late in answering, but I've only just seen the question. Isn't the answer the USS Arizona? I know she was fitted with a flag mast underwater. Whether or not a ensign is ever flown (swum?) from it I don't know.
