Can anyone tell me where to find a publication listing the Destroyer, Gearing Class of 1945-46 called the N.K.Perry. I have tried the Naval Institute but can't seem to find that particular vessel. Any help would be appreciated. Please answer to my email:

Look over on Tin Can Sailors dot org in the book section. Also go to Navsource dot org also. There is online specs under the destroyers link.. I belive you are looking for info on the USS NEWMAN K. PERRY (DD-883/DDR-883)

But your best bet is (I just checked for a publication), is over on:

squadronsignalpublications dot com

When you get to their home page, click on "In Action", when you get to the next page, click on "Warships in Action"... Then click on WWII, and then scroll down to "SS4022, US Destroyers in Action IV. You'll see a semi broad side view of a Allen M. Sumner/Gearing class Tin Can firing her 5" inch gun mounts over the starboard side. That should fit your needs...good luck... Smile
