I just turned 36. Been Active Duty Navy for five years and almost 7yrs. w/ the Navy Reserve. Now I want into the Marines. I feel like it was taken from me. Bad decisions on my part. Now I wanna commit. Wrote my Congressman and Senator still waitin on a reply positive or negative. Either way I'm lookin' at this very seriously. If I got the good word to pack it up and ship out. I am ready. Till then I'm lookin at webpages finding info and printing out all sort's of instruction...Any words of wisdom out there???
His current age, regardless of prior enlistment, is the factor working against him. If he's in tip-top physical shape, passes the rigors of Boot Camp, then more power to him and hopes he succeeds. Although I have never heard any MCRD scuttlebutt of 37 year old recruits.

Cut off age with age waiver: AD - 29 SMCR - 33
Roger that. I know I wouldn't want to do Boot Camp at 37.
