Best source for specific information regarding pay and allowances is:

d f a s dot m i l / (without spaces of course)

Basically BAH stands for basic allowance for housing which you're eligible to receive starting the day you show up at boot camp. However you've got to be married first in order to receive it and it takes two - three weeks to process it the first time. After that it comes like clockwork. The dollar value is based on your rank, time in service and zip code of the based you're stationed at.

If you only have a child or children then you take out an allotment from your pay to support them while you live in the barracks with the other single Marines.

I'm not familiar with "RC/T" so you'll have to elaborate. Is that Reserve Component/ Transportation or Training??? If so, definitely check out dfas as that's a whole other ballgame with it's own specific rules and regs.
