OC pepper spray training is far worse then the gas chamber.

OC is a spray which makes your face sting and burn, lungs gag, and lasts for a long time. CS gas makes your eyes tear, lungs choke, snot run down your face, and last short term.

The gas chamber is the least of your worries, it's over and done before you know it. Just like the rest of your basic training...listen, pay attention, dont freakout. Oh yeah all the snot is normal!

I'd rather do the gas chamber 10 times before ever getting sprayed with OC again. That sh-- sucks!

It's not as bad as everybody makes it out to be. Learn to hold your breath and you'll be fine

Oh, BTW take a nice long hot shower after getting out of the gas chamber...... Don't forget to wipe your eyes too.

Alright guys! hot showers after the chamber..cruel! ok here is the break down, the gas we use today is known as CS which is a riot control agent(irritant) it affects your eyes,lungs and any and all moist areas it sticks to..notice I say stick..CS is interesting because it is the only chemical agent that starts off as a solid,once heat is applied it becomes a liquid,then vaporizes and turns back into a solid in mid-air therefore sticking to everything! the best tip i can give someone going into is that as long as you know that its going to suck and be uncompfortable then you have already made it, its the people that are told"its easy dont wory about it" as if you are expecting fluffy bunnies to jump in circles and sing to you! nope! it will burn,sting and make your eyes water and nose run. there ya go.. now you know!
