I wonder if any of you have served as JAG officers, or with one? I would love to hear any insight you have on Marine JAG life. I am about to graduate college and head to law school, and am considering serving in the Navy or the USMC when I complete law school in spring '11, so I am especially interested in the differences in JAG life between those two branches but would also love to hear anything you wish you could tell yourself X years ago about law and the Marines.
1st let me say that Katherin Bell is just a dream for Ipscone not many Marines like her, don't think of JAG as it was show on TV as it was 95% HollyWood. At the start of 2nd phase of boot camp we got a replacement DI for one that's time was up on the drill field. This DI did some very bad things, he was only with us less than a week. From that time on a few of us in the platoon spent a lot of time with Jag Officers talking about what happened/answering questions from both sides. These Officers where nice to us and saw to it we had anything we need both in Boot Camp and when we came back for the court marshall. They where good guys..Call a OSO, there might something he can help you with or get you to do OCS during your summer break. What part of MO are you from?
Thanks TomHansen. Yeah, I've seen maybe five minutes total of the TV show. The only Hollywood I'd expect to see in the service would be if I got really lucky and ran across R. Lee Ermey at a ball or something. Also, I'm from St. Louis.
And thank you, SCMerle. I'll try to find that gentleman.
