This summer I plan on enlisting under an armor contract, but then I heard that you can only enlist under a Combat Support option which would include Arty and LAAD. Isn't there a contract in which I can enlist under 1800 - Armor? I'm not quite sure how this works.

Thanks.

P.S. I tried calling my recruiter for the past 2 days, couldn't get a hold of him. Went down there and he was out to lunch. So I thought I could ask it here?

Did you ask if it was possible to leave a message for your recruiter? Confused

I appreciate the fact that you are a hard charger and would like to get the info you desire, but, do you know why the Marine Corps is meeting their recruiting goals? It's because the recruiters are not staying in the office. Leave a message for him, and be patient.

Thanks. I'm just going to call the main office in which the office is held to leave him a message because everytime I would call his office it would just keep rining. I would go down there right now but its not open on Sundays...

Ok, um, I was never "Diddy41".

Anyway, thanks everyone for the replies. I got a hold of him today and he answered my question.

Son, the Moderators are Marines who have been doing this for awhile so they're not stupid. When they ask you something like this they have you dialed in.

You may want to post a topic to apologize for whatever you did. Might not seem like much but taking accountability for our actions is a big thing with Marines. Heck Son, we've all been there because no one among us hasn't screwed something up big time in one way or another.

Just say your piece and take it like a man. Who know what kind of response you'll receive. Might be good, maybe still bad. Whatever you do, don't engage with anger or wimp out. Stand tall and at least you'll know within yourself you stepped up and thats where it really counts.

Best of luck in whatever you decide.

Semper Fi,
Dino

So Ironman, what if I was to tell you that your IP address is the same as Diddy41's. What would you say? Let me warn you like I did to Diddy41, "you are a nobody here", as a wannabe you have not right to question any Marine which you just did with me. Time to be honest, Moderators are like DI's we find everything out. And you will pay for it....

Ok, I do apologize for coming off as a little rude to you, and I respect you being a Marine, but I swear to you I'm not or never had the account name "Diddy41". If I did, yeah I would say I did and be honest about it, there's nothing to hide. But I swear to you I'm not. I have no idea why our IP addresses are the same.

I'm going to keep digging, you must not have read my 1st sentence carefully. This will give you some time to think it over. Fessing up is much cleaner than making someone dig....you never know what I will find out...

Same person - possible/highly probable
ironhead and diddlysquat are the same person

Different person; same pc - possible/highly probable
ironhead and diddlysquat know each other and use the same home/office pc or always use the same public computer

Different person; different pc; same proxy - possible/not very probable
ironhead and diddlysquat use the same proxy server to mask their true IP - it is so much of a coincidence that two Mil.com users would be using the same proxy that, if this were the case, it is highly probable that they know each other.

Different person; different pc; same pool of dynamically allocated IP's - possible/not very probable
ironhead and diddlysquat have the same ISP and the same dynamically allocated ip address just happened to be assigned to each one of them at different times when they logged into Mil.com... NOT.

ironhead never claimed he did not know diddlysquat.

Bottom line is that ironhead and diddlysquat

1. are the same person
2. know each other and participate in the same circlejerk

Ironman, whats really going on with you? You're one of the sharpest 13-15 year olds I've ever seen post here and you'll make an outstanding Marine when you learn to step up and take responsibility for your actions.

Why not show Tom, DeepRecon, Reconstan and the rest who you really are by simply apologizing? Do you realize how light these Marines have come at you? We all see something in you that you may not see within yourself so we're trying to work with you.

You don't have to have a dad to learn how to be a man. You've got a whole group of fathers and grandfathers who will gladly be your big brothers if you'll open up and let us in. All you have to do is work past your fear of rejection by owning your conduct and you'll be surprised how far that will get around here.

You know we're here to help so help us help you by reaching deep inside of yourself because until you do there is nothing we can do either. If you're uncomfortable talking in this open forum, you can always email one of us direct and we'll be here for you. But do take care of business and apologize to these Marines because you know you were wrong and it will speak well of your character as a man.
