Jared, Since you are new to the forums, welcome. First thing, delete this account and change your screen name. You are not a Marine, so take it off. Second, as a prospective recruit or in your case, maybe a Midshipman, you will be required to do some research on your own. After you do your research, we will be more than happy to answer questions to clear things up.
And to answer your question, Marine option is part off the NROTC program. Marine option Mids do everything their Navy counterparts do except in their Junior and Senior years their NROTC classes are USMC oriented.
