Artillery brings dignity to what would otherwise be just a brawl. |
hear·say Pronunciation[heer-sey] –noun 1. unverified, unofficial information gained or acquired from another and not part of one's direct knowledge
ru·mor Pronunciation[roo-mer]–noun 1. a story or statement in general circulation without confirmation or certainty as to facts con·jec·ture Pronunciation[kuhn-jek-cher] –noun 1. the formation or expression of an opinion or theory without sufficient evidence for proof. 2. an opinion or theory so formed or expressed; guess; speculation Wannabees and others interested, Over the past several days/weeks, there have been several questions that have been presented that were based on hearsay, rumor and conjecture. Although it is important that if you have a question, please ask it. But, "I heard this, or I read that" especially written by another wannabe, immediately casts doubts as to it's validity. We are more than happy to answer questions regarding our Corps and our MOS. There are only a few Marines on the boards who have access to whether or not an enlistment program exits or whether bonuses are involved. So, please do some thinking before you come out and make an accusation that your recruiter is lying to you. Thanks. |
