It doesnt really matter which 03 you are, in my unit we have 11's doing Machine guns, 51's as 11's and so forth. Some is cross training and some is just a greater need to fill holes. If you want infantry dont worry about seeing action. You will be on the front lines no matter which 03 you are tasked with. Not much to do on the front lines, but you will be there.
Big bump! Hollywood this is as fine an infantry introduction that has ever been posted with good real time input from Bros who have been there/done that. Love the graphics. Keep up the great work!

My primary is 0341. We are the biggest company level asset. There wasn't a day that I didn't go on patrol when I was in Iraq. They turned our platoon into a regular line platoon until they needed us to be mortarmen. If you go 0341 I highly recomend being a 60

Composite Scores Various combinations of scaled scores from the nine tests are used to determine qualification for particular specialties. These combinations are called "aptitude area scores," "composite scores," or "line scores". Each of the five armed services has its own aptitude area scores and sets its own minimum qualifying composite scores for each of its occupational specialties or ratings.
Marine/Coast Guard Line Scores:
GT - General Technical, Special and Officer Programs - WK, PC, AR, MC
I'm trying to decide which type of infantry I want to be in. i'm thinking about Assaultman, Machine Gunner, Rifleman, and lav crewman in that order. what are the advantages or disadvantages between the three if any?

Unless you enlist as a reservist, you don't decide on a specific Infantry MOS.
I'm aware of that but isn't their a wishlist where they allow you to select a few? Also could you request where you want to be stationed or is it just selected at random?

A wish list is exactly what it says, a wish. The Marine Corps isn't in the business of granting wishes.
Your unit/duty station is based upon where the Marine Corps needs fresh Boot PFC's to fill spots for the next deployment.
Well I've made up my mind I want to join the reserves with that said I"m thinking about becoming a assaultman. I was wondering if assaultmen carry the SAW Machine gun like riflemen. Also how does deployment cycles work for Infantry reservist?
The war is almost over and the economy is in ruins because of it so the best place to get that information is the unit you're looking to join with. Truth is no one knows anything for sure right now so they're the only ones with a real clue about whats going on with them.
