Yeah, I see something wrong with that! a WM (Woman Marine) is a Marine. Marine's stick up for, back up, and support each other. Thats what makes us a Band of Brothers,.. & Sisters. The only "Pogue" in this thread is YOU, clown!
Pull your head out and breath some fresh air. Angry Whip

He might not be able to answer you for a while. That "pogue" is on his way over for his second deployment to the ME.

Good for him, but he ain't the first to be in harms way, and hazardous duty doesn't excuse 'S**t for brains". He'll get respect when he gives it to All his fellow Marine's, both male & female. Until then he's still got some growing up to do. Now, anybody else wanna take a shot? Curse Angry Whip

Wow - those emoticons must mean you are serious. And I can tell by the "Killer of Communists, Distrubutor of Death" etc. that you have been there once or twice yourself. Or have you?

Hey Bro Kenny, that's most likely Top's picture under his name. That was the suit, the phrases and how we acted back in the day. It was all considered as politically incorrect as we were for fighting a very unpopular war.

As for him being real? Yeah, he's a Brother. You can tell by his asking "anybody else wanna take a shot?" Ha ha ha, crusty old f#ck will kick everybody's butt if he had half a chance and tell the Skipper to screw himself at company office hours (NJP) in the morning!

These days the SOB will beat you with his walker if he has one ha ha ha ha!!!! Salty old f#ck is still as serious as a heart attack I'm telling you.

Rest assured he's kicked more butt than have kicked his so yeah, he's been in harm's way more than once and wrote a page or two in Marine Corps history. Old school Tops are like this. Ha ha ha don't drink beer with the sucker or you'll be doing close order drill in his garage! The word “no” still is not in their vocabulary ha ha ha ha.

God bless the Tops. With as much grief as we gave them, they led us well into the depths of hell and Heaven have mercy on anyone who messed with their Marines - because they wouldn't. Urr-RAH!

Semper Fi Devil,
Dino

Extremely competent, very professional and always there when needed. Individuals enlist for benefits and a sense of service.

Hmm. Medium motivation produces Rangers, Green Berets and of course Delta Force....but hey, those guys are just "average" with a "medium warrior culture"Roll Eyes

If you got to smear another branch to make yours look more "harder" and "bad azz" you're not doing yourself a favor.

Marines are special, they do what they do despite their Army counterparts getting more pay and career options, I admire them for that. Wink

Dino - I have no doubt that he is real. I did not mean to imply otherwise.

Alright you yard birds, lend an ear and listen up. You got it right, my number 1 priority is lookin out for my Marines. Especially ones that have an occassional "Stupid Attack". If it takes a deep and hard kick up the shorts to jar their ever lovin brain housing group into the operational mode, then so be it. Any Marine NCO, SNCO, or Officer worth his Salt, would and should do the same. So, God Bless 'em, CAT0311 I hope, has a SAFE TOUR OF DUTY over in the ME, and properly engages his tongue and brain housing group whenever he goes critiquing his fellow Marines, weither they be Grunts, Air Wingers, WM's, Cooks, Admin., whatever. We are All Marines above everything else.

You're a silver tongued Devil Top, you know we love ya not matter how much grief we give you. Ha ha ha, we wouldn’t be Marines if we didn’t! Semper Fi Mac Marine!

No problem Brother Kenny, it's all good in the neighborhood. A lot of newer Marines sometimes wonder if Old Corps is made up or for real so we just clarify in a joking manner what's really going on. You're a good man and I'd troop with you anytime. Semper Fi Marine!

Old Corps is a state of mind...not a period of time.

Amen to that Guns. Attitude is everything. Marines first, mission second because if you don't take care of the Devils there is no one left to get the job done.

Bump. Service to our country is always good so there are no bad uniformed services, merely different missions. While there will always be differences to what is written above, the baseline data is basically accurate. Please read so you'll make an informed decision instead of a four year mistake. Best of luck to you all in whatever you decide.

i would say that that is a pretty accurate synopsis of the coast guard. of course, i would put our technicians slightly ahead of the navy simply because they get the new fancy crap, and we're still operating boats from the 40's.

on a side note, as a coastie, i love the marines.

Right back to you Brother TarHeel. We've enjoyed a long history of working with you and admire your style. You all definitely aren't short on courage. Ha ha ha, even made the personal mistake of drinking with some of your TLET folks at MCRD a few years ago. You all can sure put away some beer! Semper Par Brothers!
