Unless you plan on fighting him, then no. If you do plan on fighting him it might keep you alive a bit longer. Wink

It might help you especially when you get out in the fleet and start doing the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP). There are Marines who are stationed at that school and just teach martial arts all day.

If you werent trying to impress anyone then why would you post all those credentials your first time here and not ask a single question about the Corps other than a look at me type statement...

Seriously Kid.....Posting a link to your myspace page might be cool if you were dealing with 15 year olds....

Lastly.....Its been a while...but we used to get one...Muey Thai...Judo...karate bruce lee type in here about once a month....all say the same thing.......I ve got a black belt blah blah blah.......

And to the very best of my knowledge....Ive never seen one come back here as a Marine....

Like was said, no one is impressed.

To answer your question, you training can only benefit you in maybe physical fitness and can compliment anything you'll learn in MCMAP.

That's it, no special privileges, no higher rank.

If you've learned any discipline from your MMA, fine, take that with you BUT leave everything else at home and in the dojo. Otherwise, you will bring unwanted attention to yourself in Boot Camp.

And no, don't go to Boot Camp thinking you're Richard Gere and try to take on a D.I., because you will pay dearly if you think that way!
