I called my Recruiter he asked me what my name, age, date of birth, weight, hight, and some other personal stuff, I told him that I could run 1 mile in 30mins , he gave me a diet to start, and he invited me to PT with them, any advice?
Go pt. he will probably run you through a Mock PFT to see where you are at so he can give you a work out plan. And if you are that out of shape and you really want to get in to the Corps I would sujest if you are in running distance of the recruiting office (3 miles or less) go run to the office every day. and walk back. after a couple of weeks run to office and also run back. that worked for me. good luck and don't be discourage if you are really out of shape the recruiters are there to help you get into the Corps but you are the one that has to want it okay.

do the above only if you have the time. walking/running 20 miles a day is going to take a lot of time out of your day. if you walk/run there and can get a ride back with a recruiter that would be better.

yes it would. tells us where you live(general area) and the terrain around it and me and some of other Devils here will give you some advice. but if you can get a ride to PT with your recruiter do it. if you can try and do it once a week so both you and he can chart your progress.

Oh okay that's a little bit different story right there. Okay if you call back you recruiter and ask him to come out to your house to talk to your parents and than take you to pt with them also you can have them read Deanosaurs' message to the Parents Here. Look on the board about talking to parents I know there are like two on the front page this forum. aslo let the recruiter know about the full situation (the ride, PT, and the Parents) and he should be willing to help you with that. Or if do you have a friend with a car that can drop you off there.
I'll ask them if my parents don't rip my head off, "No we won't have a Recruiter come in our house" or some BullShi@ like that. but I'll ask them and see.
I started going to PT with other Poolees from my Recruiting Office. It helped me alot and it's pretty fun getting down and dirty. Makes me feel very good when I'm finished.
I asked my mom Saturday night if she would let me do PT with my recruiter and this is the reply I got from my mom, "Why do you want to join and have someone in your face spitting on you and cussing you?" I simply said, I'm not signing any papers, besides I'm 16 and I can't join right now, all I'm doing is working out with the recruiter and some people that are in Delayed Entry Program. she said she would have thank about it, so there's about a 1 in a 100% chance that I might be able to workout with them.
I would tell you that if there is any way possible to go to pt with your recruiter and the poolees just do it at least once. The advice and help that I have recieved so far from my recruiter and the other recruiters and Marines there is no dollar sign that i can put on it. When my recruiter first talked to me I was 60 pounds heavier I went from not able to run a football field to run 6 or 7 miles, doing 1 pull up to 12, and going from 38 crunches to 115 last time tested. If you can go than that would be great for you if not then ask for some tips. Remeber your recruiter will not get you in shape it will be you.
I finally got ask my dad, he said that he seen them run all over town and said that he didn't think I could do it, well, I'm depressed again. Any advice
If you need help with a proper diet go to MENS Health.com. It is free. Basically, eat 4-6 small meals a day or 3 meals and 3-4 healthy snacks.
Walk or bike everywhere that you can instead of riding in a car/truck/etc.
Do upper body and legs on alternate days, 3 days a week for each. Do core exercises (crunches, side raise and leg raise) at the end of each.
Get some small dumbells, one set of 5-10 pounds will do to start. Do the following exercises starting with one set of 10 of each and increasing one set every 4-5 weeks until you are doing 3-4 sets. When you can do them reasonably comfortably increase the weight in 5 pound increments. Do crunches, side raises, and leg lifts at the end.
After 2-3 months add pushups, dips and pullups at the front of this routine.
Be sure to get full extension and contraction on all exercises.
Using a exercise bench (you can build one with 2X4s and 4x4s for legs) or purchase one for less than $50.
6. Alternate Stiff arm pull over. 7. Flys 8. Alternate dumbell press (dumbells close like a close grip bench press) 9. Alternate dumbell press (arms wide like a wide grip bench press.
Start by walking one mile per day. Preferablly in variable terrian - hills etc. Each week - month (what you can reasonably handle) add 1/4 mile. When you can walk 4-5 miles start adding/replacing walk with 1/4 mile of jogging/running. Increase in the same manner.
As previously stated biking and swimming are also great exercises.
If possible, get involved in sports like tennis, soccer, football,, lacross, track, biking and any others that will build stamna.
It will not be easy but you can do it. At times you may want to quit, don't. Take your time and do not overextend your abalities but do challenge yourself. Keep faith in yourself and your ability to do it.
On all exercises try to keep minimum time between exercises and set (preferably 20-30 seconds). You may have to work up to it. Do not over exert. Do challenge yourself.
I left out the leg exercises
Do all of them while holding dumbells.
Same as upper body - start with one set 10 reps and work up to 3-4 sets.
Full Squats
Half squats (to a sitting psostion)
Calf raises
Lunges.
Duck walk (start with about 30 feet work up to 50-60).

If you a serious about 1 mile in 30 minutes your health must be lacking. Go PT with him and get yourself healthy.
If you choose to join...great. If not, at least you'll live a few years longer.
I was able to run on the paved road (I live on a crappy gravel road) yesterday, and I was able to run a mile easily, compared to the 4-6 light poles. If that makes since
