How do you Marines handle anti-war people, and people who protest at fallen soldier / Marine funerals? It really disgust me seeing people with such strong negative opinions agaisn't our nation. I would like to know so when I become a Marine I can handle them the right way, which ever way that is.

Ignore idiots. If necessary, defend yourself appropiately.

There are lots of those antiwar types at my school and I have found it is best to ignore them. You can't change their minds and it is always preferable to take the high road and be the better man even if you (And they) would love to start a shouting match. In the end yelling at them only plays into their hands. Many of these types have a persecution complex and they thrive off the feeling that people are against them because they are "standing up for justice" or some crap like that. Without such motivation to galvanize them, they mostly sit around procrastinating smoking pot and planning pathetic demonstrations like "die-ins" and holding signs outside recruiter offices.

Funeral protesters on the other hand, thankfully I have not had to deal with in person. As far as I have heard, the Westboro Baptist specimens are the only ones to have done this.

I find it aggravating also at school and around town to deal with them anti war and screaming liberals complaining about how things are and what I am doing is stupid and I am only going to get hurt. Its makes me mad but at the end of the day I just try to leave em alone.

I wonder how other countries handle their breed of anti-war crap? Does Islam chop their heads off? How about the ruskies or Pekeng ding dongs? Freedom has its price and unfortunately, we must live with scums.

I have to deal with them also, I ignore them but can't help it getting angry at these sorry excuse for human beings.

They complain about everything because this makes them look cool and rebellious but to me they are like kids who are trying to gain attention from mommy and daddy. They talk about issues as if they are effective by them in a big way but at the end of the day they just go home and watch their tv shows and think of what else can they protest on. It is pathetic all the hippies became professors who try to incorporate their radical ideas to the very impressionable minds of college age kids.

I have one professor who complained in class why that satellite that the US shot down contained toxic chemicals (he says its highly suspect why those things are in there), I told them it's rocket fuel, you can die also if you inhale gasoline from your car also! Another professor complained he gets mad if people shower more than 5 mins because it's a waste of water. I was like ready to blurt out why don't you go to Iraq and try the 2 minute showers we take for 6-7 months.

As for those low lives who try to protest at military funerals I believe some states have laws on when or how far they can protest from the event.

Always remember once you become a Marine you have done something that these people only read and dream about.

maybe they sould watch a movie called "The Kill Point". and see how hard it is then maybe see a different perspective on coming back from Iraq with nothing but clothes on your back
