Hello I was wondering if anyone here has any experience in the Marine Mp. i know a lot of people dont like the Mp for obvious reasons but its something ive really wanted to do not so much being a Garrison MP but a Mp in the field and maybe becoming a working dog handler or going SRT etc. My question is what is a normal day like as a MP what kinda of things does an MP do while deployed and while on base? Do they work a normal shift while one base? and how competitive is getting onto SRT? If anyone has any information about this or just how they liked being an MP from personal experience please let me know thanks!

Use the search function. I do believe some of your questions have been answered in great detail.
Getting into any specialty (in any MOS) is a very competitive process. Selections will be based on many factors...pro/con marks, PFT, potential, recommendations, etc...
I enjoyed my time as an MP. It taught me how to deal with/conduct myself in just about every type of situation. Also learned that in doing your job you can also take care of a Marine. Not every Marine who deals with an MP needs to be arrested, reported, etc...
thank you for the information. is there anyway u can give me some idea about what the MP are doing now when deployed over seas? etc?.. has being an MP made u want to pursue a career in LE in the civilian world?
