Well you get up when you want to, go to the chow hall on your own (the omlets are realy good ask for extra cheese). Buy a paper and take it back to the to read while the others are at church with Charle the Chaplin. About 11am you go and workout on your own. A 1pm the DI's show up and the grind is back on.....What more could one ask for....Almost forgot, send you laundry out to be washed....
Wow, that's great, I was thinking about hauling my TV up there for a weekend too!
Uhh, it wasn't the answer I was looking for, and I really did search. Only some Coast Guard stuff came up and why female Marines are treated unfairly. I don't see how that related so I started a thread.
Okay I couldn't find it so I will give you a run down.
Sunday basically starts off the same as anyother day. Make your racks, Morning Clean Up, Chow. or Make your Racks, Chow, than Morning Clean up. Lay Readers go to help set up there peticular religious service. The rest of the platoon is turned to square away time(free Time) and each religious service has a set time and they have groups of recuits listed and are sent to there services. All religious services are optional, you can stay in the squad bay if you like. You can do almost anything you like except leave the squad bay, or sleep/lay or sit on you rack. But if you have newspapers or magazines(gernally the DI takes them, but sometimes gives them back during square away time) you can read them. you can orgnaize you footlock (highly recomended). and also write letters home. As soon as everyone is back it is generally time for chow.
After Chow it is up to the DI what they want to do. generally its another two-four hours on the Parade Deck parcticing drill, or cleaning weapons, or practicing for PRAC-the final written test in boot camp). what ever you do, you don't want to go to the quarter deck on sudays. The DI's have nothing else to do, and they only one that can save you is you senior.
