I am currently in the DEP... would it be possible to switch over from Active Duty to go to the Reserves before i get into basic training?

We wouldn't know. You'll have to ask your Army recruiter on that. We only advice USMC Poolies headed for Recruit Training (aka, Boot Camp). Good luck soldier... HOOAHH!
