I am leaving for boot in september and i can not do pull ups i get 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up but cant finish. I could use some tips so i can get better. I heard do 200 pushups a day and do nagative pull ups with some lat pulldowns untill i can do them is this the only thing i can do?
Those exercises you listed are good to build your pull-up muscles. I would also suggest you try some kipping pull-ups. Kipping pull-ups are much easier than dead hang but you don't want to get too comfortable with them because the PFT is strictly dead hang pullups. If you don't know how to do a kipping pull-up, go to youtube and search "kipping pull-ups".
I know that I'm not a Marine, but I was in the same boat as you are in. I could not do pullups if my life depended on it. Then some person told me about the Recon Ron Pullup Program. Know pullups are becoming easier, and easier. Like I said I am not a Marine but that is what I would suggest to do.

Knowing your pullups is important, because knowing is half the battle.
Leave the advice to the Marines.
As Jimnsc said. Read Deeprecon's PT thread and you will be golden.
