I was just wondering how are marines paid there bonuses that are given to them. Is it all in one lump sum or spreaded out in their pay checks because a friend of mind is receiving a $10,000 bonuses for his MOS if he ship out early and wants to know will he get all his money at the end of bootcamp or MOS school. Thank You
I believe he and I are signed up under the same program (B7 electronic/data option). My recruiter told me that the Marines pay out in one lump sum but I'm not sure at what point in his training. Just make sure he signed the additional and seperate X1 sheet or he ain't getting ****!
It likely has changed since I was in but it was 1/2 upfront then the rest divided up by the years enlisted for. The on you Anv date you will get that years bonus. Should you for some reason become a Officer then yout the bonus is cnaceled and in some cases might have to be paid back...
as far i know, you will complete boot camp, mct, and mos school before you see any money. have it mind that if you don't complete any of these training, you won't receive the bonus. Lot of recruits get dropped back in boot camp due to injuries or possibly can't hack it and they lost their bonuses. it's a risky business. Marine Corps expect you to complete all your trainings without any hiccups.
