Hey, just wondering if hypertension (high blood pressure) is a big deal in the Marine Corps? I plan on talking to a recruiter within a couple months, but just like to hear some of your thoughts/experiences regarding this condition. Currently on medication to keep it down but also haven't had much time to run (between school and working/paying for school). When eating good and in shape, its still boardline.
Thanks Kevin
Edit: I am aware of the post regarding medical issues, but Im just asking for your experieces. If you ran into problems (w/Hypertension) while enlisting or during your time in the Marine Corps.
You've been considering joining since 2005? Since you are "paying for school" I guess that implies you are already out of high school. What's taking you so long to decide?
I originally created this account when I was in High School. Was looking into the different servies and jobs/mos. Finally decided upon the Marine Corps as my best option. However, I thought it would be better (and easier) to get a degree right after HS and before joining the Marines rather than after my service. So Im currently in college with plans of enlisting after completition.
