Well I just got my acu hat. I want to make it look sharp like the Marine Corps. I was told something like holding it over boiling water or something. Can someone help me out?
Its called a cover, and the most common way to get it stiff is to use starch. There is no way it will look the same though. Army cover Vs. Marine Cover, one is a round point, the other an 8-point.

One looks limp and doesn't fit properly and the other is squared away and screams professionalism. Really no way to get the first to look like the second.
I really don't think there is anything you can do for the ACU cover. Even when you see generals like Petraeus wearing it, it still looks round and floppy.
