I am a 17 year old male, and for the last year i have really wanted to join the Marines. I would really like to know what to expect. I am ready to take anything that is thrown at me, but still knowing what to expect would be great.

thanks

There are so many opportunities here for me to be the azzhat that I am.....

but I won't....

you need to do some research on your own initiative and then come back with specific questions....

to ask what to expect if you join the Marine Corps is next to impossible to answer coherently..

Artillery brings dignity to what would otherwise be just a brawl.

GT and SC are telling you straight as we've been covering this very issue for the past couple of weeks. Look around the threads between pages 1 - 3 and you'll find what you're looking for. Tom even posted an outstanding MCRD San Diego weekly training matrix so its all here if you just dig for it. Best of luck.

I was a 17 year old. I joined the Marine Corps. I went to Parris Island. I became a Marine. I went to MOS school. I became good at the MOS and at being a Marine. I went to war. I didn't like it. It was not fun. I came home. I served in the Marine Corps for over 20 Years. I went to a lot of places; some were fun, some were not. I went to a lot of schools. The Marine Corps paid for them.

I became an an executive in the civilian world. Some things were fun; some were not.

I'm still around having fun. Life is what you make of it. It, like the Corps, is, for the most part, great.
